Lucky me got a weekend away with the girls. We decided to go visit our friend Cassie in Minnesota. (pre warning: My camera is dying a slow painful death, so yes it is the pictures that our blurry not your eyes)
I am still sticking to the story that we flew all the way to Minnesota to visit Cassie and while we were there it just happened to also be the weekend New Moon was released so we went to the midnight showing. The theatre we went to ended up making the experience more memorable. The midnight showing night we got there and the line wasn't that long. I was shocked since it was already 8 and there were probably 10 people in front of us. Then we noticed that they were doing a double feature with Twilight. It ended up that you paid a little less to go see Twilight and then you got priority seating for New Moon, so that is what we did. During Twilight my friend Ardy who was sitting three people away from me was texting me. The manager guy came and told me to turn off my phone, then went and told her, and then proceeded to stand against the wall next to our row. When we got into New Moon they said that all electronic devices had to be turned off or they would be confiscated. I can understand that but the way they said it was funny. Anyways, the next night we went to see New moon again and we saw the same manager guy and Ardy started talking to him about how hard his job must be. He agreed and then said that he was trying to convince them to let him have a taser gun for all the people who break the rules. REALLY!!! He wants to taser people for having a cell phone in a theater. Too funny!!
Anyways, Here is Ardy and Ginger in the midnight showing of New Moon.Cassie convinced everyone to wear red lipstick in honor of twilight so (I know it is unsanitary) we all used the same red lipstick and applied it in the Target bathroom after buying candy for the movie.
The next day we went to Mall of America. We didn't actually ride the rides since we do have Six flags here but it was still interesting to see.
Here are all the girls L-R: Ardy, Cassie, Ginger, Me, Julia.
The decorations for Christmas were already up and it was really pretty. Here is me and Cassie.
Julia and Cassie being goofy
Ginger and Cassie still wearing their Twilight shirts from the night before.
The next day we went back to Mall of America for the Pioneer Woman Cookbook Signing. We waited for 5 hours in line. While in line we kept seeing camera crews. At first we thought it was the news but then we saw this sign. So if you ever watch this show Look for the Pioneer woman signing and see if you find us waiting in line.
Here we are with the Pioneer Woman. She was so funny. Here are Cassie's two oldest with Ginger's baby girl who isn't ready to be away from Mommy. The boys were so cute and wanted to keep Sarah.
It was a great weekend! We had a lot of fun being with Cassie again and not having kids around for the most part. Thanks Joseph and Mom for watching the boys so I could go.
